Clickreel Privacy Policy

Developer: VNCNT Labs · Effective date: October 17, 2026 · Version covered: 1.0 (free) · Contact: [email protected]

This policy covers the browser extension VNCNT Clickreel: Record and Replay Browser Automation for Google Chrome and Microsoft Edge. Clickreel records the clicks and typing you do in a web page, saves them as a list of steps (a "bot") and replays them when you ask. Everything happens inside your browser. VNCNT Labs never receives your bots, the pages you use them on, the values you type or anything else you do with the extension, and version 1.0 makes no network requests of its own.

1. When it runs and what it can access

Clickreel works when you click its toolbar icon (or press Alt+Shift+K) on a tab. Your browser then gives it temporary access to that tab only ("activeTab"). While you record, Clickreel notes what you click, type, choose and tick on that page, and how to find each element again (its selector, label, role and visible text). When you run a bot, it performs those steps in the tab. It does not read cookies, saved passwords, your browsing history or other websites' storage.

So that recording and replay can follow you after a page loads a new address, and for scheduled runs (Pro, see §4), your browser may ask you to allow access to that one website. You can refuse; Clickreel then works on the current page only. Sites you allow are listed in Clickreel's settings, where you can remove them, as you can in the browser's extension settings.

2. What is stored, and where

Uninstalling the extension removes all of it.

3. Results files

CSV and other results files are created on your computer and saved through your browser's normal download. Copying writes to your clipboard only when you click Copy.

4. Scheduled runs (Pro, when available)

If you schedule a bot, Clickreel asks for the browser's "alarms" permission. While your browser is open, it opens the bot's start page in a background tab at the interval you chose, runs the steps with your browser session, saves the results on your computer as in §2 and closes the tab. Nothing is sent to us. Turning the schedule off, or Pro ending, removes the alarm.

5. Your responsibility

A bot acts in your browser as you, with your logins. Please automate only sites and accounts you are allowed to use, follow each website's terms of service, keep a sensible pace and check your bot's results. Clickreel does not solve CAPTCHAs and must not be used to get around CAPTCHAs, queues, purchase limits or other protections.

6. What we don't do

7. Pro licence (when Pro launches)

Version 1.0 has no paid features and no licence checks. When Pro launches, purchases and licence keys will be handled by Lemon Squeezy (our reseller and merchant of record). To activate Pro, the extension sends your licence key and an instance name to Lemon Squeezy's licence API, and re-checks it at most once a day. No bots, page content, CSV data or results are ever sent. Lemon Squeezy's own privacy policy applies to your purchase. This section will be updated before Pro is enabled.

8. Children

Clickreel is a productivity tool and is not directed at children under 13.

9. Changes and contact

If this policy changes, we will update this page and its effective date before the change takes effect in the extension. Questions: [email protected].
