This policy covers the browser extension VNCNT Vertical Studio: Product Graphics & Bulk CSV for Google Chrome and Microsoft Edge. Vertical Studio turns a product into tall marketing graphics and a bulk-upload CSV. It works entirely in your browser and uses four browser permissions: sidePanel, storage, activeTab and scripting. It requests no host permissions, so it has no standing access to any website. It needs no account, shows no ads and uses no analytics or tracking. Vertical Studio never sends your data to VNCNT Labs. We run no servers that receive it.
1. When it reads a page
The extension has no access to any website by default. When you click its toolbar icon (or press its keyboard shortcut, Alt+Shift+V), its side panel opens and your browser gives it temporary access to the tab you are on (Chrome's "activeTab"). It reads that tab only when you then click Capture this page: it uses the "scripting" permission to run one function, packaged inside the extension, in that tab to read the product information. Access ends when you leave the page. It never reads pages in the background and does not collect your browsing history. It refuses to read Etsy and Amazon pages. For those, you add your own photos and type or paste the details.
2. What it reads
From the page you capture, it reads public product information: the product title, price and currency, description and product details, store name, the page's link, and the addresses of product photos. It does not read forms, passwords, cookies, your account details, orders or messages.
3. Photos
After a capture, your browser downloads the product photos from the addresses listed on the page you captured, the same as viewing them, so they can be drawn into your graphics. These requests are sent without your cookies. If a photo server blocks that request, the download is made from inside the captured tab instead. Photos you drop in or paste are read from your computer. Photos are held in memory while the side panel is open and are not stored or uploaded.
4. Making graphics and copy
Graphics are drawn on your computer with the browser's canvas. If your browser offers a built-in on-device AI model (Chrome's Prompt API) and you turn on AI copy, the product details are given to that model on your device to write titles and descriptions. That model runs locally and nothing leaves your computer. If you click Download on-device model, your browser downloads the model from its maker (Google), as with any browser feature. Otherwise, and always in browsers without that model such as Microsoft Edge today, built-in templates write the copy.
5. Exports
Export creates a ZIP file with your images, a CSV and a README, and saves it through your browser's normal download. We never receive these files. The extension does not post to Pinterest or any other service for you. You upload the CSV yourself.
6. Stored on your device only
- Settings: default board, link tracking (UTM) option, image format, schedule preferences, the AI copy on/off choice and your public image folder link if you enter one.
- Brand kit (optional): shop name, colors, heading font and the logo image you upload, if you set one up.
- Daily counter: identifiers of graphics exported today, to apply the free plan's limit.
- Duplicate history: for each exported graphic, a compact fingerprint (a 256-bit image hash, the normalized title and description text, a short hash of the product link and the template used), kept for 180 days (at most 1,500 entries). It lets the extension warn you before you export a near-copy. It contains no images and no links.
This data is kept in the extension's local browser storage and is not synced to us. You can clear the duplicate history in the extension's settings under Data & privacy. Uninstalling the extension removes everything.
7. Pro (not yet available)
The current version of Vertical Studio is free only. It has no purchase, license key or image hosting features, and it makes no network requests other than the photo downloads after a capture (section 3) and, only if you click it, the browser's own AI model download (section 4). Pro, when it launches, will be sold through Lemon Squeezy, our merchant of record, and will check your license key with Lemon Squeezy's license service. Optional hosted image links for the CSV are also planned for Pro. We will update this policy, including exactly what is sent and stored, before any version with Pro is released.
8. Data sharing and selling
We do not sell or transfer user data. Apart from the photo downloads from the page you capture (section 3), the extension shares nothing with anyone. We do not use any data for advertising, creditworthiness or lending, or for anything unrelated to the extension's single purpose.
9. Chrome Web Store Limited Use
The use of information received from Google APIs and browser extension APIs follows the Chrome Web Store User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
10. Children
The extension is a business tool. It is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect information from children.
11. Security
The extension uses only the "sidePanel", "storage", "activeTab" and "scripting" permissions and requests no host permissions. It runs no remote code: all scripts and fonts are packaged. Its pages use a strict content security policy.
12. Not affiliated with Pinterest
Vertical Studio is an independent product of VNCNT Labs. It creates files in the format of Pinterest's bulk-upload tool, but it is not affiliated with, endorsed or sponsored by Pinterest. Pinterest is a trademark of Pinterest, Inc. Etsy, Amazon and Shopify are trademarks of their respective owners.
13. Changes
If we change what the extension handles, we will update this page and the effective date before releasing that version, and tell you in the extension when the change matters to your privacy.
