Runs and billing are handled by Apify under its terms and privacy policy. Your images are processed inside your own Apify run and stored in your own Apify account. They are not sent to any other service.
What it is and isn't
It uses Real-ESRGAN, an open model licensed for commercial use (BSD-3-Clause), on CPU. A typical Merch file takes one to two minutes. It sharpens and cleans. It can't invent detail that was never in the image, and it is not a vectorizer. Only upscale artwork you own or are licensed to use.
